THINGS YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT 5G [1/3]: How it works - Andrea Grieco

(Reading time: 1 - 2 minutes)

# Maratona5G What is 5G?

It is the fifth generation of a technology that radiates a pervasive and ubiquitous electromagnetic signal, which will change our lives. For better or for worse? In a few years there will be one million devices connected per square kilometer. Our fridge will realize that we will lack milk and order it in our place, and after the office it will be enough to get in the car to turn on the air conditioners at home. "Essential" comforts, but at what price? Are there omissions in the captivating and pounding advertisements we see on television every day?

With 5G, thousands of new antennas will be installed, increasingly tiny, perhaps hidden in the manholes, nested inside the street lamps or installed on our own buildings. What do we know about the long-term effects of electromagnetism? Are we sure that the institutions are doing everything necessary to see the precautionary principle respected? In Belgium, in Brussels, politics said no, because citizens are not laboratory guinea pigs (exactly with these words). Are Italians worth less to our politicians?

Andrea Grieco, physicist, mathematician and electromagnetism expert, in front of Byoblu's cameras will introduce you to the technical secrets of 5G, and it is worth watching him, tonight in First Vision at 21 pm, because this is the right time to inquire: before the things happen. From asbestos to glyphosate, unfortunately too often the economic interest has been placed before the health of the whole community. And we all know how it turned out.
