Statement by Dr Lee regarding a U.S. Federal Court decision regarding the cause of death of a 14-year-old boy after administration of the Gardasil vaccine:
I disagree with the statement "There is no scientific evidence that aluminum-containing vaccines cause harm ...".
I was the expert pathologist of the case (Court of Federal Claims No: 15-0160V) which resulted in the sudden death of a 14-year-old boy who died of a recent myocardial infarction, without pre-existing coronary heart disease, during sleep, on the night after the second Gardasil injection.
Free viral DNA fragments linked to certain aluminum salts can elicit a very strong innate immune response, causing tissue damage in some genetically and physically predisposed individuals.
Activated macrophages loaded with viral DNA / AAHS nanoparticles can travel throughout the body, including the myocardium.
Dr. Lee, in response to Dr. Schiffman's statements, in the same commentary:
The statement in the answer in which he writes about "virus-like particles (VLP) .... do not contain full-length HPV DNA genomes" it is a false track. Neither the Primer nor my comment on it mentioned the full-length HPV DNA genomes at all.
The concern concerns DNA fragments of the recombinant HPV L1 gene linked to AAHS adjuvant, transinfected in the host's immune cells.
Viral DNA doesn't need full-length genomes to induce an innate immune response.
Pathogen recognition receptors, or PRRs, in macrophages can distinguish viral DNA from host DNA by its nucleotide sequence and induce a strong pro-inflammatory antiviral response.
The proinflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-1β are toxic to neurons and the myocardium.
