An observational and prospective study was conducted in China between 2015 and 2016 because "the incidence of mumps was still high and the epidemiological incidence shifted to the older age groups ... The asymptomatic infection has occurred within one year in 8,8% of children who received an MMR dose. Conclusions: Children who received a dose of MMR in kindergarten and primary school were at high risk of mumps infection and decreased immunity over time.
